Residenza Casanuova

The top floor of this handsome palazzo belonged to Beatrice and Massimiliano's grandmother, and the apartment is still filled with her elegant taste. There are panelled doors and parquet floors, creamy walls and tall windows. Light-filled rooms are furnished with antiques, grand mirrors and pretty chandeliers, polished surfaces are dotted with china vases, walls hung with engravings, portraits and a collection of oils by great-grandfather Fabio Casanuova. Calm, uncluttered bedrooms are soft and spacious, each with an amusing theme: a collection of umbrellas, particular hats or antique boxes. One bedroom has a magnificent Murano mirror.

Residenza Casanuova has totally 5 bedrooms, including three large double Deluxe bedrooms, one double Superior bedroom (with direct access to the Residenza’s terrace) and one single Superior bedroom with a “French” bed.

Each room has ensuite bathroom decorated with Venetian stucco and they all have:

- hairdryer
- air conditioning and heating system individually controlled

Beatrice and Massimiliano, who still live in the property, will address you to the secrets of Florence.
They will help you with excursions, museums’ booking, cooking making classes, wine tasting or shopping tours. Friendly and easy going, they're on hand when you need them or happy to leave you alone.

Return to a private terrace for a glass of wine and rooftop view on the city’s monuments like the Santa Croce Church, the Michelangelo’s Piazzale and the Jewish Synagogue.
Breakfast on beautiful china in the handsome dining room or, upon request, on the terrace before plunging into the the city's museums, galleries and churches of Florence.

Breakfast is on the buffet from 08:00 am until noon and it includes American coffee, cappuccino, espresso coffee, a mix of flavoured tea, milk, fruit juice, plain and fruit yogurt, marmelades, honey, butter, different kinds of bread, cuts&chees, fruit, cereals and croissants.

Romantic and exclusive location for a honeymoon, centrally located with a strategic position if you want to drive from Florence to Siena and San Gimignano or to the Chianti area: this guesthose is actually right out of the traffic limited zone and parkings are at 50mts. The Basilica of Santa Croce is a 5 minutes walking  distance aswell as the Accademia gallery and the Uffizi museum.
The quarter offers a wide variety of attractions: restaurants, trattorias, the Sant’Ambrogio market  and the flee market, theaters, bars and shopping.

From the main train station it’s a 15 min. bus or taxi ride while the airport is at a half hour far away.
