Taste is a 3 day journey of new experiences, events, tastings and sourcing from March 13th to 15th, 2010 at the Stazione Leopolda in Florence.
Taste is a fair dedicated to savours and ideas. Organized by Pitti Immagine, it is a original journey - from an idea by the Gastronaut Davide Paolini – devoted to the cultural and organic diversity of food. More than 170 exhibitors selected for their excellence and niche products, coming from all over Italy.
At each edition, Taste is a new adventure in the land of lifestyle. Today more than ever lifestyle means not only fashion, design and travel, but also high-quality food and wine. The fair is at once a place to source food products, to taste liberally, and a place for debate on the theme of culture and gastronomy.
Taste is an innovative journey in 5 steps: discovery and tasting of the products (Taste Tour), debate on current trends, styles and schools of thought on the new culture of taste (Taste Ring), an exhibition of design and creative hand-made products for the kitchen and the table (Taste Tools), writings and publishing (Taste Press) and a place to buy the products that have been seen and tasted (Taste Shop).
Taste is a special place to meet for those involved both in Italy and internationally in the best of gastronomy, but is also devised for the many enthusiasts of quality food: more than 7,300 visitors at the last fair, with wide coverage from the press and television.
Taste and Florence
Taste also presents a rich programme of supporting events in Florence’s high places of cooking and lifestyle, with great names from the culture of wine and food. Special tastings, photographic exhibitions, installations, musical events and above all special projects, in which gastronomy nourishes ideas and contemporary culture. And vice versa.
