Piazza della Signoria is an outdoor sculpture gallery situated in the centre of the historic centre of Florence.
There are some statues, that commemorate major events in the city's history. Many of them are linked to the rise and fall of the Florentine Republic, during which the religious leader Girolamo Savonarola was burned at the stake here.
In the square there are also: Palazzo Vecchio, Neptune Fountain, David of Michelangelo, Loggia dei Lanzi, Perseus.
