The Museo Casa-Atelier di Ugo Guidi witnesses the liveliness of the Versilia artistic milieu and its importance for Italian art of the twentieth century.
The museum is set up in the house where the artist lived and worked, and gives the opportunity to know the artistic evolution of the sculptor, who, during the 20th century, worked out an original artistic language.
Guidi loved to be surrounded by his works: paintings and graphic works, sculptures in stone, terracotta, wood, iron, ceramics, and other materials, can be found in the rooms of the Home-studio, which has preserved the charming atmosphere of a lively and lived creative space.
Guidi's home was a meeting place for many important characters of the Italian Culture, such as Ottone Rosai, Piero Santi, Achille Funi, Mirko Basaldella, Emilio Greco, Giuseppe Migneco, Corrado Cagli, Ernesto Treccani, Luigi Dallapiccola, Bruno Cassinari, Alfonso Gatto, Mino Maccari, Antonio Bueno, Ardengo Soffici, Giovanni Papini, Raffaele Carrieri.
