The National Antarctic Museum has already opened two of three envisaged exhibition centres: Genova and Siena.
The Earth Sciences section is in the Educational Complex area of the University of Siena where the 7th International Symposium on the Antarctic was held in September 1995.
The Siena National Antarctic Museum is curator of the geological and glaciological collections from Italian Antarctic expeditions. It aims to increase and promulgate knowledge of the Antarctic continent, its role in the evolution of planet Earth and its influence on climate.
