
The church is very old, an it is believed that was consecreted in 1220 by Pope Callisto II.
Bulit in sandstone brics, the church is simple on the outside and on the inside, while on the oustide were built a portico in the 16th century.
The inside is with a single nave and a wooden beamed ceiling and house a wooden painted 12th century cross by a Tuscan artist, two paintings of "Saints Attinea" and "Greciniana" by Cosimo Daddi. On the right wall from the altar there is a valuable 15th century marble tabernacle recently collocated in the church.
