A visit to the walkways around the castle walls is not to be missed for those visiting Monteriggioni.
From the heights of this defensive walkway, it is possible to admire the surrounding countryside towards Chianti and the Valdelsa and to enjoy a unique view of the town. With a bit of imagination you can hear the steps of the soldiers who stood guard over the castle from these very same walls.
