The Museum of stele statues is located in the Piagnaro Castle, on the top of the Monte Molinatico and over the the medieval centre of Pontremoli.
The Museum offers the opportunity to see 25 original stele statues; 30 plaster casts of the stele statues founded in Lunigiana; original and casted rupestrian inscriptions; different documents of the diffusion of stele statues in the Lunigiana, in Italy and in Europe.
An educational hall explains the phenomena of the stele statues, another hall offers the rebuilding of an excavation of a stele statue. The collection is divided into two opening halls and six exhibition halls: the materials are divided depending on the type corresponding to an hypothetical date.
